I ♥ it

The place which I am going to write about today is very important for me... Why? I will tell you. All in good time.
Well.. I'm not going to write another mystery.. I think you had quite a lot of them in my last posts.
Today I am going to write about the beautiful castle and it's garden - Versailles.
Why is it that important for me? Well.. I love writing stories. When I was walking through the gardens I hit on an idea for my next novel. Now, I have got about 70 pages A4 of my book and that's not the end :) When I was there, I felt like a princess, so maybe that's the reason my book is about the middle ages...

But now something more serious. History?
I know, I know... Some of you don't like history... If you don't want to read you can omit this part of text.

The palace was build in the beginning of XVII century from the order of king Louis XIII of France. It was his hunting palace, but the king also spend there time when he wasn't hunting. The palace had been rebuild many times from XVII-XIX century.
Now it's a museum. From 700 rooms in palace, visitors can see 120.

The palace and it's garden has got 800 hectare area. The garden is an archetype of French formal garden.

And now - some photos of the garden!

I hope, when you see this pictures you can imagine why I felt like a princess when I was there. It's magical!
So beautiful and magical!
I believe I will return to Wersal many times...  Maybe if I didn't find new ideas for books?

Bye. bye :)

See you in France!
Anne
